This year, both the Republican National Convention and the Democratic National Convention generated a lot of garbage – and we want to be clear here, we’re talking in terms of actual waste material tossed by convention goers and staff. The team collecting food waste at the DNC took in two tons per day. Other waste materials were collected in large commercial dumpsters – the same sort of dumpster you’ll need if you’re arranging the logistics for a tradeshow, convention or other large event.

The amount of trash generated during a large event can sometimes be shocking to people who have never seen this before. It’s important to understand the rental agreement you’ve signed with the venue where your event is located: in some instances, the venue provides trash removal, but in some instances, it is the responsibility of the person hosting the event, and if that’s you, you’ll want to arrange for a dumpster to have all of that trash taken away.

If you’ve never rented a commercial dumpster for an event before, give us a call. Based on the duration of your event and the number of people expecting to attend, as well as our experience servicing similar events, we’ll be able to tell you what size dumpster will best meet your needs. Dumpster sizes range from a small 10-yard unit, which can be ideal for events like small business conferences, large weddings and parties, and more, right on up to a huge 100-yard dumpster, which is more for things like a professional sports game or multi-day corporate events.

It’s good to call as soon as you know you’ll need a dumpster: we can schedule drop-off and pick-up to meet your needs and make the  most of your budget. We’ll be happy to answer all of your questions and go over pricing as well to help you make the most of your budget.
